ESTHER ERUCHIE - NIGERIA

Esther Eruchie is the founder of FriendnPal, a pioneering healthcare firm committed to destigmatising wellness challenges and promoting open conversations about mental health in Africa. The organisation’s flagship initiative, the ‘FriendnPal’ app, is Africa’s first AI-powered multilingual mental health app, available in multiple African languages, ensuring that individuals seeking mental wellbeing can access the help they need regardless of language or location.

FriendnPal’s mission is to make health and wellness services available, accessible, and affordable to communities and individuals who may otherwise struggle to find the support they need. In addition to their digital platform, FriendnPal actively engages in transformative initiatives in local communities. These include mentoring youth, supporting addiction recovery, and conducting therapy sessions in correctional facilities. To date, the organisation has impacted over 5000 individuals in 10+ marginalised communities across Africa, offering medical screenings, support for small businesses, and aiding over 200 youth in overcoming drug addiction whilst providing them with essential tech skills.

FriendnPal is committed to making a global impact on mental health and are expanding their reach to under-served communities in 30 African countries in the next 3 to 5 years through strategic partnerships with global mental health organisations, technology firms, and advocacy groups. Their partnerships with organisations like The Nigerian Red Cross, Ikota Division, NGOs, The Humanitarian Network UK, SheUnitesAfrica, and local leaders etc., are integral to achieving their mission.
