Abelinda Fernández has been actively involved in leading and managing projects focused on educating youth about climate change and environmental sustainability through her organization ECO-EDU. As a co-founder and CEO of ECO-EDU, she has played a crucial role in promoting youth leadership and critical thinking in these important areas. Through all the projects she has carried out with Edo-edu she has contributed to the environmental education of more than 1,000 children, young people and adolescents in Latin America and the Caribbean. 

Abelinda’s impactful work extends beyond ECO-EDU. She has obtained certifications in leadership and project management from reputable institutions such as the Municipalidad de Lima and UN CC, showcasing her commitment to personal and professional development. 

Furthermore, Abelinda has dedicated her time as a volunteer in organizations like Trasciende Voluntariado and Inkill Warmi, where she has been actively involved in managing projects and activities aimed at empowering young Peruvians and creating safe spaces for the community, particularly focusing on breaking gender stereotypes and promoting gender equality .

Her participation in events like the Red Rebeldes x América Solidaria Cabildeo, One Young World Latam 2023 and Culturous Spring Program 2024 demonstrates her advocacy for quality education, sustainable development, and social change on both national and global platforms .
