The Education We Never Talk About

Each year, millions of students are awarded their certificates. However, numerous students depart from school without the ability to solve problems, think critically, communicate effectively, or adapt to an ever-changing world. The biggest deficiency in education is what they never learn.
Quality education has more to do with going through the curriculum or with exam passing rather than with quality education. It is about building inquisitive minds, ethical leaders, creative thinkers, and lifelong learners who will be able to make a difference in their communities and will be able to face the challenges of an ever-changing world.
Sustainable Development Goal 4 calls for inclusive and equitable quality education. If we are to realise this objective, we must challenge the concept of success based on the number of graduates we produce and focus on the impact they make. The education system should be inspiring, compassionate, character-building, and preparing students for life, not for tests.
The classrooms of today are shaping the societies of tomorrow. If we want a more sustainable world, we must invest in an education that teaches people not only what to think, but how to Think.
Because the most valuable lesson is not found in a textbook, it is learning how to make a difference.
