Archie Forpoh is a dedicated social entrepreneur and STEM Education Advocate whose impactful work has transformed underserved communities in Liberia and beyond. As the founder of Innoignite, a social enterprise focused on advancing STEM education, he has developed and implemented programs that have benefited over 10,000 youth and students, particularly minorities. Through innovative projects and partnerships, he is equipping the next generation with critical 21st-century skills, including coding, robotics, and entrepreneurship.

One of his standout initiatives, the Tech for High School Initiative, is setting up computer labs in high schools, starting with Matilda Newport Junior High School. This project has already empowered over 8,000 students and teachers with vital computer and coding skills, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and digital literacy.

In addition to education, Archie addresses environmental challenges through Ignite EcoGear, an eco-friendly manufacturing company that recycles waste materials into sustainable products like solar-powered backpacks and laptop bags. This innovative approach not only promotes renewable energy and sustainability but also creates economic opportunities for local communities.

Archie’s leadership roles as a TME Education, Next Einstein Forum, and World Summit Awards (WSA) Youth Ambassador amplify his impact by connecting science, society, and policy. He is also a mentor, ambassador, and regional director for various global organizations, where he inspires women and girls to pursue careers in STEM.

Archie also confronted cultural and gender biases that often exclude women and girls from STEM opportunities. Through programs like Upcycling Girls and his work as a mentor and ambassador for global initiatives such as Technovation Girls, he created platforms to empower young women with the skills and confidence needed to excel in technology and entrepreneurship.

Environmental challenges in Liberia, including plastic waste pollution, inspired Archie to establish Ignite EcoGear, an eco-friendly enterprise that transforms waste into sustainable products. This initiative faced skepticism and logistical hurdles but has since gained recognition for addressing environmental and social issues innovatively.

Through perseverance, collaboration, and a clear vision for a better future, Archie has turned adversity into opportunity, empowering thousands of youth and inspiring change in Liberia and beyond. His journey is a testament to the power of determination and the ability to create lasting impact even in the face of significant challenges.

Recognized by prestigious organizations such as the Falling Walls Foundation and Momo Heroes of Change, Archie’s work exemplifies a commitment to education, innovation, and social good. His efforts are paving the way for a more inclusive, sustainable, and technologically empowered future in Liberia and beyond.
