Farhin Ahmed has impacted a significant number of lives for social reformation. Through media partnerships and advanced gamification tactics, his first initiative Oleek reached out to over hundreds of thousands of students to spread awareness about fitness education and sports history. Moreover, through adept collaborations with wellness experts, Inside Global became the first initiative in Bangladesh to provide mentally vulnerable students with virtual reality-aided therapy and teach them about the importance of mental healthcare. Right after offline classes began to resume in Bangladesh, the initiative introduced virtual reality integrated sessions to provide medical therapy and meditation services to mentally vulnerable individuals.. Inside Global pioneered virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET) in Bangladesh to treat major symptoms among mental health patients in different hospitals and healthcare centers, impacting thousands in the process.
His contributions to social impact gained recognition from the Government of Bangladesh early on, granting him the BASIS National ICT Award - the most prestigious award in Bangladesh for honoring tech solutions - in 2019 as well as the President George H.W. Bush Inspiration Points of Light Roll of Honor in 2022. Moreover, he was selected for the UN Millennium Fellowship Class of 2021 to join its first cohort from Bangladesh. Additionally, he was nominated for the 2023 Moonshot Learning Awards and he was recently invited to the 2024 HPAIR Harvard Conference. His initiatives advance SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
