Favour Chikamnele is a women development advocate and grassroots changemaker driven by a deep belief that when girls understand themselves, they unlock the power to shape their futures. Her work sits at the intersection of personal development, health education, and gender equality, with a strong focus on adolescent girls and young women in underserved communities.

This belief led her to found The Lumena Girls Circle, a women-focused initiative created to provide safe spaces for honest conversations, learning, and growth. Through Lumena’s flagship initiative, The Becoming Me Project, Favour, alongside other ladies, guided young girls through self-discovery, confidence building, emotional intelligence, leadership development, and intentional decision-making. This session has reached over 150 girls and young women, many of whom are navigating critical life transitions with limited access to guidance and support.

Beyond Lumena, Favour has extended her impact through school-based outreach and NGO volunteer work. At Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra State, she led targeted awareness sessions for over 200 female students, addressing menstrual health, personal hygiene, mental health, adolescent well-being, education, and leadership. These conversations went beyond information-sharing, challenging harmful norms while equipping girls with practical knowledge and the confidence to speak up for themselves.

Favour’s work aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, she continues to empower girls not only to be informed, but to believe in their voice, claim their space, and create meaningful change within their communities.
