Yalda Aminy is a dedicated peace builder, women rights advocate, and youth empowerment leader whose work across Afghanistan and among Afghan refugees has transformed lives through education, technology, and community development.

Over the past decade, she has volunteered and worked with national and international organizations including USAID supported initiatives, UN projects, Robotics programs, and Civil Society networks. Her work aligns strongly with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions), and SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth).

As Deputy Director and Mentor at Today’s Girls Tomorrow Leaders, she leads STEM and web design programs for Afghan girls and women, designing curriculum, teaching digital skills, and coordinating classes that directly empower young women to access education despite national restrictions. In Pakistan, she mentored refugee children and women in robotics and technology providing safe learning spaces and building confidence for displaced learners. She has served as Ambassador and Country Coordinator for refugee support initiatives, establishing local offices, managing teams, and organizing educational and peace building events that reached communities across multiple provinces.

Through peace sessions, children’s reading programs, and community leadership roles, she has helped hundreds of children learn about coexistence, conflict resolution, and personal development. Her long history with youth organizations, MUN platforms, SDG symposiums, and national robotics teams demonstrates resilience, leadership, and a commitment to social impact. Despite facing cultural barriers, gender restrictions, and displacement challenges, she continuously advocates for women’s voices and leads initiatives that expand opportunity, dignity, and hope for marginalized communities.

She stands as a remarkable symbol of Afghan youth leadership, innovation, and peace.
