Grace Aderewa is the Co-founder of Ayobami Hope and Growth Initiative (AHGI), an initiative which is just a year old but has rapidly emerged as a humanitarian-focused NGO committed towards supporting underserved communities and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. Despite its young age, the organisation has demonstrated remarkable dedication to improving lives through targeted interventions in education, health awareness, and community development.

In its first year, AHGI has reached over 500 children, youth, and families through grassroots outreach programmes, emergency support, and community-based empowerment activities. The organisation’s work is strongly aligned with SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).

One of AHGI’s most impactful initiatives is its community education project, which provides learning materials, mentorship, and academic support to children in low-income neighbourhoods. This intervention has improved school participation and learning outcomes for hundreds of vulnerable students.

AHGI has also conducted health sensitisation campaigns focused on menstrual hygiene, gender-based violence, and preventive health practices.

The organisation operates in communities with limited resources, frequently navigating challenges such as inadequate funding, cultural barriers, and limited access to rural locations. Despite these obstacles, AHGI continues to expand its impact through volunteer mobilisation, partnerships, and community trust-building.

In just one year, Ayobami Hope and Growth Initiative has established itself as a beacon of hope, amplifying grassroots change and empowering communities towards sustainable growth and resilience.
