Md Sayed, Founder and Chairman of the Aim Initiative Foundation, has dedicated over nine years to advancing community development in Bangladesh through education, healthcare, skill-building, and environmental initiatives. Under his leadership, the foundation—registered in 2019—has become a volunteer-driven platform tackling multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
Through the Aim School, hundreds of underprivileged children have gained access to free academic education, healthcare, and leadership opportunities. The “Shobar Jonno Boi” (Books for All) campaign annually reaches underserved schools with critical learning resources, directly advancing literacy. Project Ghure Darao empowers marginalized communities with skill development, while the Learn to Be program offers children creative and technical training in arts, crafts, music, and computing. Environmental initiatives engage students and volunteers in recycling plastic waste into educational tools and household items, fostering sustainable practices at the grassroots level.
Sayed’s vision has mobilized a large pool of youth volunteers who actively participate in campaigns, literacy drives, health screenings, and climate action projects. Challenges—such as limited funding and sustaining long-term community engagement—have been met with innovative solutions like child sponsorship programs and strategic partnerships. To date, the foundation’s work has touched the lives of several hundred children and families across Dhaka, while indirectly engaging thousands through awareness, health, and environmental initiatives.
Md Sayed’s leadership exemplifies how community-driven, SDG-aligned projects can create lasting social impact.
