Mohammad Mohasin is a pioneering disability rights advocate and the founder of the Bangladesh Wheelchair Cricket Team, established in 2010. Through sports, he has created a powerful platform to promote SDG 10 and SDG 3. His mission is to empower persons with disabilities, foster inclusion, and shift societal perceptions.
Under his leadership, the team has grown into a national movement—engaging over 500 athletes with disabilities from across the country. He has organized numerous tournaments, training camps, and awareness campaigns, many in underserved and rural communities, directly impacting 10,000+ people, including family members and local volunteers. Mohasin also advocates at policy levels, urging greater accessibility in sports infrastructure and inclusive representation. Despite facing major challenges—lack of funding, limited public awareness, and accessibility barriers—he continues to lead with resilience. He successfully led the team to international platforms, such as the Wheelchair Cricket Asia Cup and upcoming World Cup 2025, giving Bangladesh’s disabled athletes global visibility.
He launched community initiatives including free mobility aid distribution, awareness drives on inclusive education, and leadership development for disabled youth. His work not only enhances physical and mental well-being but also restores dignity and confidence among persons with disabilities.
Mohasin’s impact transcends cricket. His dedication is shaping a more inclusive Bangladesh, where disability is seen not as a limitation, but as a strength.
