Mohammed Anos has demonstrated strong commitment to advancing sustainable development and climate action through community-driven initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation)

One of his key achievements was leading and supporting a large-scale tree plantation campaign that resulted in the planting of over 1,000 trees across local communities. This initiative contributed to environmental restoration, biodiversity conservation, and increased community engagement in climate resilience efforts.

In addition, he has successfully delivered a climate education SDG campaign (SDG For Everyone) reaching more than 1,200 individuals, including youth, community members, and local stakeholders. These educational activities enhanced understanding of environmental challenges, sustainable practices, and the importance of collective climate action in vulnerable refugee camps.

The nominee also organized and facilitated awareness sessions on climate change mitigation, landslide prevention, and promoting practical solutions such as ecosystem protection, sustainable resource management, and community participation in environmental stewardship. These sessions empowered participants to adopt environmentally responsible behaviors and become advocates for climate action within their communities.

Despite challenges such as limited resources, varying levels of environmental awareness, and logistical constraints in reaching diverse populations, he has remained dedicated to creating meaningful impact through collaboration, volunteer engagement, and innovative community outreach strategies.

Through these initiatives, the nominee has positively influenced individuals and communities, strengthened local awareness of climate issues, and contributed to building a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future especially for the Rohingya refugees.
