Mosfeka Zannat Nishat is the Co-Founder of Sombhabona, a social organization dedicated to empowering marginalized communities through sustainable development in Bangladesh. Since 2011, she has spearheaded transformative initiatives that focus on education, women’s empowerment, and skill development.
Through projects like Pushpokoli School, she has provided free education to over 10,000 underprivileged children, fostering hope and ambition. Through their Onindito Naree initiative, they have empowered over 5,000 women, equipping them with skills to become entrepreneurs and breadwinners, with a ripple effect positively impacting nearly 1 million lives. In 2022, they launched the ICT Project, training youth in digital skills to address unemployment and equip them for the global workforce.
Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, they demonstrated resilience through programs like Amar Ghor Amar Karkhana, which supported women in setting up home-based garment units, ensuring financial stability during uncertain times.
With over 1 million lives directly impacted, her mission is to create a stronger, more inclusive society where opportunity and dignity are accessible to all.
