Naabil has made significant strides as a fourth-year medical student at the University of Exeter, combining her medical education with a relentless commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare and medical education. As the podcast host of Very Junior Doctors, the founder of Skin For All and the Future Dr newsletter, and an active advocate for representation in medicine, Naabil has created platforms and initiatives that challenge the status quo and amplify underrepresented voices.

Her work in diversifying the medical curriculum and engaging the public in conversations about healthcare inequalities is transformative. Through Skin For All, she has curated an educational platform and self-published e-book addressing the glaring under-representation of diverse skin tones in medical education. This resource has been lauded by medical students and the general public alike, drawing comparisons to the award-winning Mind The Gap. The website, described as "well-rounded and comprehensive," uses inclusive language and detailed disease profiles to ensure accessibility for both medical professionals and patients.

Naabil has also inspired change through public speaking and academic work. She has presented at national and international forums, including the British Medical Association (BMA) Student Conference, the TEDxNHS stage, and the Exeter Respect Festival. Her ability to engage with varied audiences has allowed her to delve deeply into issues such as racial inequities in medical education, decolonizing healthcare, and the dangerous biases perpetuated in medical literature. Her co-authored article in Times Higher Education with Dr Maisha Reza has further cemented her reputation as a thought leader in the field.

Through the Future Dr newsletter, Naabil is breaking down barriers in access to medical opportunities, ensuring that underprivileged students are better equipped to navigate their educational journeys. Her dedication has been recognised with several prestigious awards, including the 2023 BMBS Citizenship Award, the Rising Star in Healthcare Award by WeAreTheCity, and the 2024 Racial Justice in Medicine Prize by the American Medical Students Association, making her the first British medical student to receive this honour.
