Peculiar N. Okafor, also known as The EcoAgripreneur is a passionate food security advocate and climate activist committed to building sustainable food systems and promoting environmental stewardship. She is the Co-founder and CEO of Greenglow Recycling Ltd, a social enterprise that converts organic waste into affordable, eco-friendly farm inputs for smallholder farmers. Through innovative Black Soldier Fly farming and vermicomposting, her company reduces waste, cuts emissions, restores soil health and improves farm productivity.
Peculiar also serves as the Executive Director of EcoWorld Kids, a fun, interactive platform that educates children on environmental conservation and climate action, inspiring them to become young eco-changemakers.
Her initiatives have reached over 5,000 young people and over 300 farmers including women in over 20 local communities, recycling more than 10 tons of organic waste within months and giving training on sustainable farming and waste management.
Peculiar’s programs have inspired the creation of eco-clubs in schools and empowered students to design gardens using recycled materials such as tires, sacks and plastic bottles. Her leadership continues to promote circular economy practices, food security and climate resilience in communities.
She actively contributes to SDGs 2, 3, 5, 12 and 13, volunteers and partners with various environmental and agricultural organizations and has received several awards and recognition for her impact.
