Victoria Aliu is a passionate changemaker whose work spans across SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). She is the Founder of Girls & More, a youth-led initiative committed to empowering girls and young women in underserved communities across Niger State.

Her changemaking journey began in Gidan Kwano, where she witnessed firsthand the challenges girls face—limited access to menstrual hygiene resources, lack of digital safety awareness, and reduced educational opportunities. Instead of looking away, Victoria stepped in.

Through Girls & More, she has trained and supported hundreds of girls and women across rural communities with practical skills, leadership development, and menstrual hygiene education. Her flagship initiative, Project Rural MenstraCare, has reached multiple communities with training on making reusable pads, improving menstrual health literacy, and creating income-generation pathways for women.

Victoria has also led digital safety campaigns for adolescent girls, helping them understand online risks, digital abuse, and safe online behavior. Her projects consistently prioritize disadvantaged communities—girls with disabilities, low-income households, and those with limited digital access.

Despite funding limitations and societal barriers, Victoria has remained resilient. She mobilizes volunteers, forges partnerships, and leverages her personal resources to continue reaching those who need support the most.

Her work has strengthened community confidence, equipped girls with life-changing skills, and inspired young women to believe in their potential. Victoria’s impact continues to grow, and her vision remains clear: to empower girls, uplift communities, and build a generation of confident, protected, and educated young women.
